Opt-in only
Our directory is opt-in only - which means all our businesses add themselves. This is important as it means consumers are not frustrated by outdated information or the lack of information to connect with producers directly. Consumers/buyers will only ever find producers (business members) that want to connect in the way that suits them both. E.g. by telephone, website orders, local sales, wholesale or national ordering.
AUTHENTIC
We don’t allow the public to add food producers - it means data can be inaccurate and misleading. As some producers may not want to connect directly.
QUALITY
Our listings will be easy to navigate, and our enhanced listings options allow producers to grow the listing to suit their needs. It's uses a simple and easy to use backend but will have a beautiful front end, we are here to help too. We want connections to become valued for everyone involved. This ensures it stays a useful resource to return to.
INDEPENDENT
We are not steered by funding bodies. Partnerships are formed to help build the community. Directory listings can be reported if they are not in line with our ethos. For e.g. If a listed business in not UK owned. All listed producers have to agree that they are British owned. We only invite truly British food producers! We value your input to make the directory a genuine place.
MiNDFUL
We won’t flood you with spammy emails. We have done a lot of research on this part. We feel it’s overwhelming for most people nowadays. It is our pledge to only send a maximum of one email a month, and that will only be if really needed, relevant, and of course only sent if you opt in to receive them.
ACCURATE
Our business members will also have to reverify their listing data every six months - this means our database stays fresh and accurate always.
